Summertime, Summertime

Hello again.
Sorry it has been awhhile since last post, alot has been going on.
February we had a flood and the shop was surrounded. I had my own little Island. I was like Maryanne without a Gilligan. Alot of water here this spring, and find that my yard is one third in the flood zone. Won't be putting in any more flower beds there so I have finally planted the boxes at the shop.
Have hired a new Nail Tech, Teresa. Working out very well. Now I can have time for a Betty day and leave the shop in the hands of all the wonderful wormen working with me. It is so wonderful that I took off Friday afternoon and spent it making cookies with 7 of my grandchildren. Had a barbeque and watched a movie. The Sand Lot 2. How wonderful to have Grandchildren, you can always send them home after filling them up. Couldn't swim tho as it rained real hard again. Is the rain ever going to stop.
Hope to hear from all and have a Blessed day.

Just posted new pictures from Christmas last year.
Every year we have a Childrens Christmas tree so they can get an ornament from it and also visit with Santa.

We are already anticipating the decorations this year and everyone has a window to decorate and we might even have a contest for the best one. Which will incorporate the clients voting. What fun. We are also going to do a cooking exchange where everyone makes 9 dozen of the same cookie and then everyone gets 9 different kinds to take home and hopefully eliminate all the other baking at home.

We have had a good year this year, altho a couple of the girls have had surgeries of there own or one in their families.

Please everyone put Miss Blanchs grandson Matthew in their prayers. He just had both of his kidneys removed and waiting now for a transplant. Prayers please

Any Help Out There

Morning everyone. Hope to hear from anyone that would like to become friends. My friend Kathy helped me create this blog, new to this. Computer illiterate.
I enjoy just about anything. So please blog me and we can chat. Looked at a couple blogs already and they are so cool.
I am gluten intolerant so if any of you are I would love to hear from you as this is also new to me and could use some help. At my age it is hard to change cooking and baking so I would love to exchange recipes with anyone.

Mayan Ruins

Getting ready to head out through the Mayan Ruins. What an incredible place. Saw where the hurricane had gone through and yet cement monuments were still intact.
